This is the Casa Grande - in Coolidge, AZ - a structure built by the Hohokam Indians, probably in the 1300s. It was abandoned by the mid-1400s as the Hohokam culture collapsed, no one really knows why.FYI, the roof-cover is a new addition.:)

I´m trying to catch some photos from different part of the world to write about the locals and the signification of them.
"Casa Grande" is a latin names that means Great House or semething like that.
I would lik to correpond with you. May be sending me some photos!
