Tubac Wall

Tubac, Arizona is a little town full of artists these days. It was once the site of the Spanish Presidio (HQ/fortress), but this was moved to Tucson after too many Apache raids.

Casa Grande

This is the Casa Grande - in Coolidge, AZ - a structure built by the Hohokam Indians, probably in the 1300s. It was abandoned by the mid-1400s as the Hohokam culture collapsed, no one really knows why.
FYI, the roof-cover is a new addition.:)

Downtown Tucson

This one was taken sitting on a bench in the Presidio Square in downtown Tucson.

Tucson Highland Guards

As you leave the desert landscape in Tucson and head up towards Mt Lemmon, you enter a very different world. These old petrified guys are its guardians.:)

Ostrich King of Arizona

This proud ostrich was photographed on Rooster Cogburn's ostrich ranch in the desert between Tucson and Phoenix. Picacho Peak in the background.

Cactus Jumper

I was hiking with my camera when I met this tourist who was kind enough to offer to pose for a picture. On one condition: that I would make it look like he could fly. No problem!

Grand Canyon Daredevil

This guy had climbed down some vertical cliffs to get to that spot. Several tourists up on the pathway were yelling at him to be careful and come back up . I'm sure he enjoyed the attention!
